Improving Financial Sector Performance in Kenya: Proceedings of the First Financial Sector Reforms Forum
This publication contains the proceedings of the Kenya Financial Sector Reforms Forum held in April 2004. The Forum brought together more than 100 leading representatives of financial institutions, senior policymakers, researchers and scholars, representatives of multilateral and bilateral development agencies, central bankers and a cross-section of users of financial resources and services to review the weaknesses of the financial sector and to build broad-based consensus on how to improve access to financial resources and services, and promote efficiency and stability in the sector.

African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) Project
The APRM was a national process acceded by the member states of the AU as an African self-monitoring mechanism. The objective of the APRM project was to propose overall methodology (desk research instruments, expert respondents’ instruments, national household sample survey instrument, and Focus Group Discussion guidelines and checklists) for the APR Kenya Self Assessment.

Democratic Transition in Kenya: The Struggle from Liberal to Social Democracy
This publication aims to create awareness of the issues that would institutionalise and deepen democratic governance in Kenya. It discusses opportunities open to, as well as challenges facing Kenyans during a period when the country is going through a constitutional review process. Convinces that the movement to democratisation is unstoppable, the book highlights the need to restructuring the state and restoring confidence in institutions of governance. It further advocates the adoption of a new development paradigm, enhancing accountability by public servants, protecting and safeguarding rights of Kenyans, and the need for mortality and integrity in national life.
